Learn from One Another
Our members share their knowledge to help each other solve problems in the garden. Some of us have gardened in Maine’s special climate for decades; the insights and tips of our experienced gardeners are happily shared with newcomers.

Learn More
Members have many options for continuing their gardening education with the Club’s Monthly Programs, Garden Visits, and Hands-on Workshops; the University of Maine Extension service; and through programs offered by affiliated groups such as Garden Club Federation of Maine (GCFM).

Special Projects
We maintain gardens at City (Library) Park and the Donnell House at Maine Maritime Museum, as well as three gardens in Woolwich and the garden at Bath's Senior Center. We also provide seasonal flower arrangements for the Maine Maritime Museum, Meals on Wheels, and Sagadahoc Preservation, and other groups.

Fund-Raising Events
Our Annual Plant Saleⓘ and Festival of Greensⓘ fundraisers offer home-grown and hand-made items for sale. Materials are drawn from members' gardens and resources to raise money that is returned to our community through scholarships, contributions, and conservation efforts.

Promote Garden Appreciation and Sustainable Practices
With the Garden Club Federation of Maine and the National Garden Club, Inc., we participate in and support projects across the state, the New England region and nationally.

Encourage Learning
We provide scholarships for students pursuing horticultural degrees, summer learning, and Master Gardener Certification. Bath Garden Club contributes to the Kennebec Estuary Land Trust, Merrymeeting Audubon Society, and the Friends of Merrymeeting Bay in support of their efforts to promote the growth and health of our gardens, woods, and pollinators.
