Tour of Veggies-to-Table, 27 Bailey Road, Newcastle (1/2 mile from Lincoln Academy).
Tour of farm with Executive Director, Erica Berman. This non-profit farm grows top-quality organic produce & flowers; all donated to local communities experiencing hunger and needing joy with sustainable methods. Tour of Nancy Sferra’s Garden, 253 Centre St, Bath.
Nancy Sferra who serves on the Bath Forestry Committee and lives on Centre St. in Bath, has created an environmentally active, growing, sustainable garden incorporating rain barrels, perennial garden beds featuring native plants, a water feature, and much more. Tour of Native Plant Building at
Maine Audubon Society, Gilsland Farm, 20 Gilsland Farm Rd, Falmouth.
Andrew Tufts, Program Manager for Bringing Nature Home at Maine Audubon, will guide us on tour of their newly completed Native Plant Site at Gilsland Farm. He will guide us through the site and share incorporating native plants into our gardens creating habitats for birds, pollinators, beneficial insects, and reduce soil erosion. All are welcome, NO R.S.V.P is required.
