Hospitality
Committee Members manage the refreshments at monthly meetings, and other events, by assigning Active Members as Hosts for each meeting. Hosts bring a variety of food, prepare beverages, and set up the room.
Membership
Active Members serve on Committees and serve in a variety of ways. Associate Members, who pay a slightly higher yearly fee, are those who have served the Club in various capacities over the years, allowing them “retire” from active committee responsibilities.
Committee Members Send Membership Applications to individuals interested in joining the Club; remind current Members who have not paid dues by March 15th to do so, in order to remain on the Club Roster; maintain a Club Roster; provide name tags at meetings; inform Committee Chairs with Members’ committee choices; and encourage Members who have not participated to attend a meeting or help on a committee. Upon receipt of an application and dues, the Committee shall send the New Member a letter of welcome, an information packet, committee assignments, and current yearbook.

Programs
Our Bath Garden Club programs are rich with a diversity of subjects which are engaging and informative, have practical application to gardening in direct or indirect ways, and foster a desire to care for our planet and its inhabitants.
We survey our members for suggestions of garden and garden-related topics, such as plant choices for local gardens, wildlife, birds, pollinators, garden pests, native plants, invasive plant species, how climate shifts may affect our gardens, and more.
We search out to experts in the topics and invite them to present one of our monthly programs. Luckily for us, they are generally very enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge and experience with groups like ours. Presenters are offered a stipend for the programs they present.
The committee will arrange programs and meeting places for the coming Club year (September – August) and prepare a budget; contact and arrange payment for all speakers. Each meeting/program will be coordinated by one committee member, who will introduce the speaker and provide necessary equipment, and room set-up and seating.
Scholarships/Camperships
Committee members recommend candidates to the Executive Committee for scholarship awards. Club members are eligible to receive funding for attending National Garden Club schools and Master Gardener Volunteers.
