Dike-Newell School
We introduce first graders to the basics of gardening by teaching them how to plant seeds and care for growing plants. We begin with a fun and engaging story in a classroom setting that highlights key aspects of gardening. Then, we provide hands-on experience by having the students pot marigolds indoors and plant sunflower seeds in raised beds, allowing them to apply what they’ve learned in a memorable and meaningful way.
